Medalha de ouro amarelo de dupla face com a imagem de São João Paulo II e de Nossa Senhora do Perpétuo Socorro

DOUBLE-SIDED YELLOW GOLD ST. JOHN PAUL II AND OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP MEDAL
This double-sided medal brings together two central figures of modern Catholic spirituality: Saint John Paul II and Our Lady of Perpetual Help. It is not simply a devotional piece, but a meaningful sign of trust, protection, and spiritual surrender, deeply rooted in Marian devotion and in the legacy of one of the most influential popes of recent Church history.

ORIGIN OF THE DEVOTION TO OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP
Devotion to Our Lady of Perpetual Help is connected to the famous Byzantine icon venerated in the Church of Saint Alphonsus Liguori in Rome. Spread throughout the world by the Redemptorist Fathers, this image presents Mary as a mother who comes to the aid of the faithful in times of difficulty and trial.

Over time, this devotion has become deeply rooted in Catholic tradition, offering comfort, protection, and spiritual support to those who turn to her.

THE CONNECTION BETWEEN SAINT JOHN PAUL II AND THE VIRGIN MARY
The spiritual life of Saint John Paul II was profoundly shaped by his devotion to the Virgin Mary. His episcopal and papal motto, Totus Tuus, expressed a total entrustment to Mary, lived not only as a personal devotion but as a central element of his ministry.

During his pontificate, when he was known worldwide as Pope John Paul II, he repeatedly encouraged the faithful to rediscover Mary’s role as a guide in faith and a source of strength in daily life.

MEANING OF THE DOUBLE-SIDED MEDAL
The presence of Saint John Paul II and Our Lady of Perpetual Help on the same medal creates a strong symbolic connection between witness and protection. On one side, the saint represents a life of faith lived with courage and conviction in the modern world; on the other, the Virgin Mary expresses maternal care, protection, and constant help.

Together, these two figures make the medal a powerful sign of trust, hope, and spiritual protection, meant to accompany the believer in everyday life.
